Trainee Installation Engineer

Alcester • Permanent • Full Time • Salary £23k per annum increasing to 25k after probation • 40-hour week • Monday to Friday (Weekends & Bank Holidays when on call) • Full training to be given.

We are recruiting for our client based in Alcester who is recruiting for a Trainee Security Systems Installation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a career within Electromagnetic Security Inspection Systems working for the global leading manufacturer, you will be trained on the installation / servicing / fault finding / repairs at customer sites and our premises on a range of screening systems we supply.

The Security Systems Trainee Installation Engineer’s Day to day duties are as follows:

  • Servicing various security systems at clients’ sites across the UK
  • Conducting repairs and installation of security screening equipment, on and off sites
  • Liaise with clients and ensure a first-class service delivery when on-site, resolving concerns and answering questions
  • Comply with health & safety regulations at all times
  • Working with the team in live customer product demonstrations

The Successful Security Systems Trainee Engineer must have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of working with IT networks
  • Self-motivated and flexible
  • Team Player
  • A clean full UK driving license (minimum 2years)
  • Prepared to be part of an on-call 1 in 4-week rota once qualified (£125 per week on top of salary)
  • Must be able to pass a counter terrorism check (CTC) as it is a mandatory requirement of our client base along with a DBS check. CTC requires 5-year previous employment history.
  • Must be able to do overnight stays.
  • Some out-of-hour / night work will be required.

  • A basic salary of £23k depending on experience, increasing to £25K after probation.
  • Extra £125 per week when on call
  • 20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • 40 hours a week
  • A company vehicle will be provided for business use, laptop and mobile phone
  • Full and comprehensive product training will be given
