Are you a dedicated Health & Safety professional seeking a part-time opportunity? Our client in alcester is currently looking for a passionate individual to join their team as a Health & Safety Officer. This role is perfect for someone who has a strong background in H&S and is eager to continue their career on a part-time basis.
The Health and Safety Officer's day to day duties are as follows:
- Take charge of all onsite health and safety initiatives, ensuring a secure working environment for all staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records to comply with regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement effective preventive measures.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, keeping them aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Oversee specific aspects of environmental safety to contribute to a sustainable and secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Generate detailed reports on safety performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide training sessions to educate and empower all staff members on health and safety protocols and procedures.
- Proactively make recommendations for improvements to enhance overall health and safety practices.
The Successful Health and Safety Officer must have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ideally, candidates should possess a NEBOSH certification or an equivalent qualification.
