What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the link between transport, warehouse, drivers, and customers — ensuring everything runs on time and to plan.
Transport Planning
- Plan and optimise HGV routes for efficiency, fuel economy, and on‑time delivery
- Monitor fleet activity and support compliance with maintenance schedules
- React quickly to delays, breakdowns, or last‑minute changes
Warehouse & Capacity Planning
- Support warehouse layout and space optimisation
- Maintain accurate capacity data and utilisation reports
- Work closely with operations to align inbound/outbound schedules
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Resolve scheduling issues calmly and professionally
- Provide updates and solutions for delivery queries
Compliance & Reporting
- Support adherence to H&S, transport regulations, and drivers’ hours
- Maintain accurate delivery, incident, and maintenance records
- Track transport costs and identify savings opportunities
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 2+ years’ experience in transport planning and/or warehouse planning
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Confident communication skills
- Experience using WMS/TMS systems
- Solid understanding of routing, driver schedules, and compliance
- A proactive, can‑do attitude
Desirable
- Logistics/transport/supply chain qualification
- UK driving licence
