Stock Control and Logistics Coordinator

Alcester • Full time • Temporary • £12-13.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient individual to join our team on a temporary basis as a Stock Control and Logistics Coordinator. Based in just outside of Alcester, you will play a crucial role in managing the stock control of animal feed, overseeing logistics operations, and handling administrative tasks related to stock management.

Day to day duties for the Stock Control & Logistics Coordinator

Stock Control:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of animal feed products.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of products to maintain quality standards.

Logistics Management:

  • Coordinate the transportation of stock using DSX labels and Palletways.
  • Liaise with transportation companies to arrange timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

Export Coordination (Preferred):

  • Utilise export knowledge to facilitate international shipments and customs clearance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents to expedite shipments.

Forklift Operation:

  • Safely operate a forklift truck to load and unload stock as needed.
  • Maintain forklift equipment in good working condition and report any issues.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Prepare commercial invoices and other relevant documentation for shipments.
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping

 

What Skills do I need for the Stock Control & Logistics Coordinator

  • Previous experience in stock control, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with DSX labels and Palletways logistics systems is advantageous.
  • Export background is preferred, with knowledge of international shipping processes and documentation.
  • Valid forklift truck operator certification is preferencial but will train.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office.

  • This is a full-time temporary position with flexibility during the winter months to accommodate seasonal changes in workload.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Training will be provided as necessary, but candidates with relevant experience will be prioritied.
  • Working Monday -Friday
  • In a rural locations so you must be able to drive
