Part time Accountants Assistant • Alcester • Permanent • part-time • Salary up to £29,000 pro rata per annum DOE
An exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest and most successful charities in the world. We are recruiting for a part time Accountants Assistant to join a small, friendly team based in Alcester. This role could possibly go to full time in the future.
The Accountants Assistant's day-to-day duties are as follows:
The main purpose of the position is to provide efficient and effective support to the Finance Manager.
- Supervision of the department
- Assisting Senior Manager with month-end reconciliation
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconciling petty cash and various bank statements including Euro payments.
- Assisting Senior Manager where required.
- Book-keeping assistance
- Flexibility to adapt and provide admin support may be required
- On the odd occasion the candidate would be asked to stay over at events, possibly 1/2 times per annum
The Successful Accountants Assistant must have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience within a similar role is desirable, training will be given
- Excellent attention to detail & ability to work unsupervised with initiative
- Good organisation skills – able to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Comfortable with dealing with clients both by telephone and email in a friendly, professional manner
- Collaborative, team player who can adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- AAT qualification
