Summary
We're recruiting a National Account Executive on behalf of our client, a market-leading commercial catering solutions provider, for a permanent, field-based sales role covering accounts across the UK. You'll manage and grow a portfolio of key national accounts, run Quarterly Business Reviews, and deliver measurable growth across multi-site operations — backed by a strong package including a company car, performance bonus, and genuine career development.
This is a strong fit for a driven B2B sales or account management professional — ideally with food, foodservice, or commercial catering experience — who wants autonomy, variety, and a real career path managing complex client accounts.
What You'll Be Doing
Account Management & Client Relationships
- Manage a defined portfolio of core clients, conducting regular site visits and GAP analysis
- Carry out customer-facing meetings with clear, documented objectives
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key accounts, producing joint business plans focused on growth
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multi-site, complex client structures
Sales Planning & Delivery
- Develop and implement a structured sales plan to retain existing customers and win new business
- Achieve sales and margin targets, ensuring profitable conversion of contracts and quoted works
- Monitor customer and internal KPIs, addressing performance proactively
Representation & Collaboration
- Represent the business at national trade shows, conferences, and networking events
- Work closely with the National Account Manager and wider internal teams (operations, marketing, finance)
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven customer-facing or external sales experience
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good numerical skills and commercial acumen
- IT literate — Excel, Word, and ERP systems
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points
Desirable:
- Experience in the food, foodservice, or commercial catering sector
- Familiarity with CRM systems and PowerPoint
- Experience working with multi-site clients or complex stakeholder structures
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent), or degree-level education
