Materials Scheduler & Administrator

Redditch • Permanent • Full Time 40 hours per week • Salary £25-28,000 per annum DOE

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Materials Scheduler & Administrator to join my clients growing team!

 

Materials Scheduler Administrator day to day duties are as follows:

  • Managing MRP messages generated by their ERP system
  • Raising and sending purchasing orders from the system in line with demand
  • Expediting and deferring orders as needed
  • Placing blanket stock orders with suppliers to ensure materials are available
  • Communicating with the line manager and production planners
  • Controlling raw material stock levels to meet planned requirements
  • Regularly reviewing the slow-moving stock of raw material
  • Sharing weekly and monthly forecast with suppliers
  • Participating in suppliers reviews
  • Demonstrating remedial action for supplier credits and invoice queries
  • Liaising and informing line managers of long term material requirements

 

The Successful Materials Scheduler Administrator must have the following skills/experience

  • Our ideal candidate will have a good level of literacy and IT skills including MS Excel and some experience of using an MRP system
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • A team player
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage

What’s on offer for the successful Materials Scheduler Administrator…

  • Salary range between £25-28,000 per annum DOE
  • 22 days holiday plus BH
  • Hours of Work:  8.00am-4.00pm/9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week/40 minutes per day paid break)
  • Contributory Pension Scheme - (salary exchange option + 50% of ER’s NI Rebate given to employees’ pension fund).  Contributions are 5% Employee and 4% Employer (minimum).
