Internal Account Manager

Redditch • Full time • Permanent • £30-35k depending on experience

As Internal Account Manager your purpose is to support our client’s relationships with their customers. You will be responsible for your assigned customers, as well as working with new customers and supporting the field-based team. Your day-to-day role will involve selling products, spotting, and correcting gaps in order requirements, creating opportunities to cross sell, and quoting clients, order processing, sales support, problem-solving, and managing customer experience.

Day to day duties and responsibilities for the Internal Account Manager role.

  • Generate sales among your assigned customers, including upselling, and cross-selling appropriate to customer needs
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with your assigned clients
  • Makes sure clients receive requested quotes, product information, and solutions in-line with department KPIs.
  • Work with the Area Sales Manager and MD to forecast customer spending monthly and annually.
  • Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
  • Ensure SLAs are met for each client.
  • Manage and resolve NCRs to agreed time frame.
  • Ensure finance queries are raised and resolved where appropriate for your role
  • Overall responsibility for your customer's margins. Ensure agreed margin targets are met and a mapped-out development plan to grow margin is in place
  • Manage contract pricing and ensure correct procedures are met and maintained monthly
  • Operate as a main point of contact for assigned customers
  • Where necessary, process your client orders through our order management system
  • Manage client orders from end to end, ensuring all orders are on track ready for production

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to converse at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with a good understanding of Order Management
  • A high degree of accuracy with an eye for detail
  • Persistent with an ability to work to tight deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and prioritization skills.
  • A flexible, positive, and resilient individual with a ‘can-do attitude.
