In this role you will be responsible for the hands-on upkeep and presentation of green spaces across a prestigious, secure site. What does a Grounds Maintenance Operative do day to day?
- Grass Cutting & Lawn Care: Operating pedestrian and ride-on mowers to maintain pristine, well-presented lawns
- Hedge & Shrub Maintenance: Precision hedge trimming, pruning, and border upkeep to a high standard
- General Grounds Upkeep: Leaf clearance, weed control, and ensuring the secure site remains tidy and safe at all times
- Equipment Care: Safely operating and maintaining standard landscaping machinery, petrol tools, and hand equipment
What skills and experience do I need for this grounds maintenance job?
Essential:
- Proven experience in professional gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
- Full UK driving licence — you must be able to drive
- Confident operating petrol mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
