Arden Personnel are recruiting for a Financial Controller working for our client in Alcester on fixed-term contract starting 2nd November
Job Description for our Financial Controller Role:
You will be responsible for:
- Consolidated management accounts reports and commentary
- Bank reconciliations and receipts
- Cashflow reporting in detail - 6 schools over 12 month period
- Understudy payroll
- Charity income including Town Trust
- Grant applications and Gift Aid
- 16 -19 Bursary
- SEND and pupil premium income and expenditure across MAC
- Solve complex financial queries
- Ad hoc analysis on Excel
- Preparation of Budgets and forecasts with Access
- Some attendance at evening meetings and presenting data/budgets to Governors
- Reviewing budget spend in conjunction with CFO and SLT
- Assistance in year-end process for statutory accounts
- Ensure compliance by the school with financial systems, processes, and routines
To be considered for our Financial Controller role you will need to;
- Experience of line management of staff
- Competent use of IT packages
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Willingness to be flexible and work as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Criteria
- Part Accountancy qualification, AAT or experience
- School or non for profit experience
