Book-keeper

This is a role working for a manufacturing company in Redditch who are seeking a Book-keeper on a part time basis. You will ideally be working 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
Day-to-day duties and responsibilities for the Book-keeper role.
- Use of Sage 50
- Ensuring Purchase Invoices are approved.
- Entering Purchase Invoices into Sage.
- Controlling and filing purchase invoices
- Weekly Payment run of Suppliers
- Entering Sales Invoices into Sage
- Monthly reconciliations to supplier statements
- Credit Control
- Sending out sales statements
- Reconciling bank accounts weekly
- Entering bank payments and receipts
- Processing Company Credit Card transactions
- Maintaining a basic cash flow each week
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Settling PAYE liabilities
- Entering monthly journals, including stock and payroll
- Month-end reporting
What you'll need to succeed in our Book-keeper's role
- Previous Book-keeping/Accounts experience
- You will have lots of energy, and initiative and want to gain responsibility.
- A bookkeeping qualification i.e. AAT or qualified by experience
- A commitment to help the company succeed, hungry to succeed yourself.
- Confidence in working with people
- Confidence in working with systems
- Experience working with Sage 50 is highly desired
- Experience working in a manufacturing business would be an advantage but not essential
