A fast-growing SME in the Alcester area is ready to appoint its first in-house Finance Manager. This is a newly created role and a real chance to shape the finance function of a business that’s growing.
Reporting to an experienced Finance Director and the Managing Director, you’ll be a hands-on, all-round Finance Manager. You’ll lead a small transactional team and take ownership of everything from month-end to payroll. The Role
- Leading, supporting and developing a transactional finance team of three
- Preparing the monthly management accounts and presenting them to the board
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Overseeing payroll for around 50 employees
- Strengthening financial controls, processes and reporting across the business
- Working closely with the Finance Director and MD to support the company’s continued growth
- Taking the lead on day-to-day finance matters across the full A to Z of the role
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Finance Manager experience in an SME, or a background in accounts preparation at a mid-sized practice and ready for your first move into industry
- Confidence preparing management accounts and VAT returns
- Experience of overseeing payroll
- The ability to lead and motivate a small team
- A hands-on, roll-your-sleeves-up approach and a genuine interest in helping a business grow
The Package
- You will earn a basic salary of up to £60,000 per annum
- You will work Monday to Friday, Full time (40 hours)
- A newly created role with real scope to shape the finance function

Contract: Permanent, full-time
