Estimator/Senior Estimator
Kent • Permanent • Full Time • Salary Negotiable to £50,000 DOE
Arden Personnel are working with a reputable and growing building services contractor who are looking to expand in their Fire and Protection division.
The Estimator/Senior day to day duties are as follows:
- Own the bid/tender/proposal/quote (Proposal management) process from estimating to final submittal.
- Liaise with suppliers, (establish and maintain a network of key contacts) to obtain project pricing.
- Review and comprehend detailed technical information
- Practical, commercial & contractual preparation of notes and clarifications for tender submissions.
- Complete tender documents and statements of compliance for the larger projects
The Successful Estimator must have the following skills/experience:
- Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive Estimating/Bid Writing experience required - Previous experience estimating and quoting fire and/or security solutions would be a distinct advantage, especially in the passive fire/fire suppression sectors however they will also be open to other sector experience.
- Understanding of various forms of procurement processes, knowledge of system estimating software
- Highly IT literate and used to working with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
- Personable, enthusiastic, team player, able to portray a professional image by phone and email to our customers.
- Technical background, with an interest in and an eye for technical details
- Commercially aware and self-motivated.
