Our client is looking for a Compliance Supervisor to help keep their transport operation safe, legal, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on, office-based role with site visits, working closely with drivers and the wider transport team. Hybrid working isn’t available for this position.
The role
You’ll take ownership of transport compliance and maintenance control, ensuring records are accurate and up to date, KPIs are monitored, and issues are dealt with quickly and correctly.
Key responsibilities
- Driver licence and CPC management
- Site visits: liaise with drivers on compliance and inspect/report defects
- Vehicle maintenance & control across all sites
- Maintenance records: tracking, upkeep, and ensuring documentation is current
- Invoice checking and authorisations within agreed limits
- New and agency driver induction management
- Driver infringement management (permanent & agency) and KPI monitoring
- KPI control: maintenance spend and driver behaviours
- Consumable controls and KPI tracking
- Support with weekend/out-of-hours requirements during busy periods or emergency situations when needed
What we’re looking for
This role suits someone who stays in control, communicates confidently at all levels, and can juggle priorities without dropping the ball.
Essential:
- Transport background with proven experience in a similar role within a transport office
- CPC holder
- Strong IT skills including MS Office (email, spreadsheets) and transport databases
- Highly organised, methodical, and able to remain focused under pressure
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Can-do attitude, pride in your work, and a collaborative approach
