Client Account Manager (Logistics and Airfreight)
- Location: Mostly Remote (Candidates ideally based in the Midlands or Northwest area; main office in Manchester)
- Salary: competitive, plus Car Allowance

The Role
Are you an ambitious logistics professional with a strong background in Airfreight and Major Account Management? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider for a Major Account Manager to join their dynamic sales division. This mostly remote role is perfect for a driven individual looking to take ownership of key accounts and drive business growth across the UK and beyond.
Operating Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, you will be responsible for over-achieving revenue and profit targets for your nominated accounts. You will take ownership and coordinate the management processes in line with the business and customers' requirements. The role requires forward planning, reviewing processes to increase efficiency, and driving continued and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing annual Account Plans for nominated accounts and managing the customer contracts and SLAs.
- Driving growth of the business through new customers and enhanced offerings from existing customers.
- Building and maintaining strong and long-lasting relationships with specified customers.
- Ensuring appropriate KPI measures are in place to meet customer commitments and creating reports for internal and external top management.
- Working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you must be a self-motivated closer with a proactive attitude.
- Demonstrable achievements in a similar role within the logistics market with at least 5 years continued experience.
- You must have a minimum of 5 years Air Freight experience within the logistics industry, alongside specialist knowledge of Airfreight Dangerous Goods by Air and Road.
- A track record of managing multiple commercial processes (budgets, contract renegotiation, KPI measurement) and forecasting precisely.
- A full clean driving license is required, as the role may include requirements to travel in the UK and abroad.
